How many strands should I use?

There's no true answer for this questions but I will share with you my preferences and why. I'm also going to talk about how many strands I use for backstitching and french knots because I use a different number for each task.

Embroidery Floss Color Palette 3 - Spring Hydrangeas

It was very difficult, but I did my best to summon the inspiration that spring would bring if it was here. Alas, it is the end of May and 50 degrees here in Chicago. So I closed my eyes and pretended that it was a beautiful 75 degree day and found this gem of a color palette! I found this gorgeous color palette on Design Seeds, an amazing website that everyone should visit when looking for inspiration!
